Lawrence D. Bell was established in 1956.  Named in honor of Lawrence Dale Bell, who was responsible for bringing the Bell Helicopter Plant into the area, the building we now enjoy was opened in September 1965.  In the 1965-66 school year, the student body of Bell High School selected the first official coat of arms, bearing the motto:  "We do not imitate, but we are a model to others."

A “Recognized School” with one of the few International Baccalaureate Programs in the state,
Bell is proud of its student who excel in academia as well as the 1000+ students who are involved in school sponsored extracurricular activities.
